What Is Credentialing

What is credentialing? Essentially the definition of credentialing is assessing the academic qualifications and practice history of an individual or a group in the healthcare setting that’s the definition but credentialing is so much more there is licensure to consider certification to consider accreditation to consider and so every time a provider of any Services wants to join a network they have to go through a credentialing process and it can be a lot it can be it can be overwhelming the the checklist that exists that’s just one part of the process you can pull a checklist off the internet or or you could pull a checklist off of another provider that’s been through the process and then you can completely botch the credentialing process and as I had mentioned many many times if what you are submitting to the the insurance company is not perfect then you’re going to have delays insurance companies now if you make a mistake on the front end they will they will deny you access and then they will only allow you to reapply 12 months later that’s the last thing that you want and so the credentialing part of of the partnership credentialing part of the process it’s one of the most important pieces right it sets you up it it shows the insurance company who you are and what you are and what you bring to the table and what services you specialize in and it shows them what your doctors look like what your clinicians look like you know what Specialties they have and and so uh this uh this information is important and it is it is basically the the face of your program presented to the insurance company for the very first time and we all know what uh what what First Impressions uh you know are and how important they are and so here at Sarge Collective have you know we’ve mastered the process we have application Specialists that have been doing this their entire professional career they work very closely with insurance company representatives and and they know what the credentialing process is going to take they know how to submit everything cleanly they know how to streamline it and they make make sure that that you uh that that you are you are shining in the eyes of the insurance company on that very first step so give us a call and let us help you let us help you put that together let us uh let us guide you because that guidance can can mean the difference of joining the network or not
